Full Job Description

The Production Manager at The Sports Presentation Company will play a key role in organising and managing the many moving parts of our projects and help to bring our sports events and fan parks to life. The role is a combination of project and technical management and you will be a key part of the team, working alongside producers and creatives to originate, cost, manage and deliver a wide range of sports events and experiences.

You will also be responsible for some client account management, along with all aspects and stages of projects including new briefs, pitching, communication, scheduling, onsite team management, budgeting and developing better and more efficient ways of working. You will be party of a vibrant, collaborative multi-disciplined team delivering innovative, creative, technically excellent live sports events for a variety of exciting rights holders, stadiums and promoters in the UK and abroad.,

  • Work alongside production team and producer from project pitch to confirmation to event delivery using thorough Project management tools and platforms

  • Ensure the appropriate level of resource is scoped and allocated to the project

  • Attend regular production meetings and input on best use of resource.

  • Work closely with the Producer to manage technical requirements for the project including; venue layouts, build/derig schedules, and technical specification.

  • Provide support for the Producer and team, assisting in taking briefs, meeting agendas and developing critical paths and milestones schedules, ensuring these are followed, maintained and that they meet clients and stakeholder expectations.

  • Ensuring POs are raised in a timely manner, and all sales invoices are raised to the client on time

  • Assisting the Producer to create and manage the production budget in relevant software (Procim)

  • Ensure all Technical Project Managers are fully briefed and supported by regular production meetings

  • Supported by our in-house Health and Safety team, oversee all H&S compliance and all associated documentation in both planning and delivery phases of the project

  • Manage supplier arrangements ensuring clarity of service and deliverables

  • Manage all aspects of onsite production across build, live and derig All other duties appropriate to the role



  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role within the live events/TV/Sports Presentation industry


  • A passion for production with a clear understanding of the roles and suppliers needed to deliver a live sports presentation show

  • Ability to deliver events from start to finish

  • Excellent people, team and client management skills

  • Commercially-minded with sound commercial judgement

  • Well organised with good problem solving skills
