    The Role
    Product Manager - Loan Payment & Agreement Platform at Oodle Car Finance.
    Youll be joining Oodle's product team and contributing to developing our cutting-edge proprietary ledger system, Oobook. Oobook is responsible for collecting direct debits and tracking the customers payments, accounting for Oodles portfolio and reporting to credit reference agencies amongst a host of other things.

Your efforts will significantly impact the organization and the stakeholders you work with, including operations, finance, and executive leadership.
    Product Team
    The Product Team is at the heart of our mission to put car buyers back in control. Our product development is driven from strategy as we focus on delivering great customer and business outcomes. Our team includes members who have previously built B2C & B2B digital ventures for FinTechs, start-ups, scale ups and established banks in the UK and abroad.
    This role is a great opportunity to advance your career in the world of Product. Your day-to-day work will be a mixture of longer-term strategic problems and working on solving immediate problems at pace, which may include:

    Working closely with Head of Product to develop the strategy for your area, in line with business objectives.
    Working with software engineers, data scientists and data engineers to translate product strategy and business requirements into technical deliverables.
    Owning and prioritising a backlog, collecting customer insights and using data to identify the most valuable features to work on next.
    Working with stakeholders to run discovery on new features and acting as product owner, with the engineering team, to get them designed, refined and delivered. Monitoring the outcomes and identifying opportunities to iterate and improve.
    Modelling the impact of potential and recently launched features on customers satisfaction and financial outcomes.
    Reporting on product development progress and achieved outcomes to Product teams leadership.
    Collaborating with internal and external business operators to create solutions that drive key metrics.

    2-5 years product management experience (or equivalent): this isnt your first product job and youre keen to grow by learning from an experienced team. Ideally you have worked in a startup or scale-up environment.
    Experience working in agile product teams: you know your stand ups from your retros and how to deliver results.
    Ruthless prioritisation skills: you know how to decide what to do next and arent afraid to make tough decisions. You understand trade-offs between competing priorities and understand how to strategically and tactically manage a backlog to get the most out of your team.
    A communication chameleon: excellent written and verbal communication. You are equally happy talking tickets with engineers, customer problems with the operations team or reporting upwards to senior stakeholders.
    Problem solving and analytical skills: you can quickly understand new problems, identify key drivers behind specific outcomes and can find a simple path through complexity. You are data-driven and understand the importance of our key metrics to our teams success.
    Interpersonal skills: you are humble, you quickly build trust and personal relationships within and outside your team. You know when to seek consensus or escalate a decision depending on a situation.

    This role is perfect for you if you have the following too:
    - Experience querying databases with SQL (Snowflake, Postgres)
    - Experience writing scripts using Python
    - Experience working on technical and/or financial products
    - Worked with payment providers
    This role is based in our offices in London, Oxford or Manchester. We are working flexibly, combining in-person workshops and design sessions with remote work. Occasional travel to our offices in London, Oxford and Manchester may be required (travel expenses paid when travelling to an office which isnt your contracted base).
