ENGIE's C3NTINEL Energy Management platform enables forward thinking organisations to achieve ambitious, complex energy management objectives. C3NTINEL is a mature digital solution, ingesting interval metering data for over 230,000 data points, and serving 1,500 active users across the world. As a product manager, you will drive the development of new products and features designed to enable organisations to accelerate their energy transition and sustainability transformation at speed and at scale to meet climate and sustainability objectives.,

  • Product Vision and Strategy; Develop a clear product vision and strategy for C3NTINEL that aligns with business objectives and customer needs.

  • Market Research and Analysis; Stay informed about customer needs, market trends, and industry changes related to energy management software.

  • Product Development Backlog Management; Oversee the product backlog, and prioritise development stories.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration; Collaborate with development, design, marketing, and other teams to execute the product roadmap.

  • Performance Monitoring and Iteration; Continuously monitor product performance using metrics, customer feedback, and user behaviour.

  • Team Management: Lead the C3NTINEL Development team, providing management support and removing blockers to assist development.

  • Champion the product internally and externally; support sales and marketing by participating in client acquisition activities such as product demonstrations.

  • Market Research and Analysis:

  • + Outcome: A comprehensive market understanding that informs product decisions.
    + Results: Product features and updates that reflect current market demands.
    + KPIs: Number of market trends identified and acted upon, customer satisfaction with new features.
  • Product Development Backlog Management

  • + Outcome: An efficiently prioritised and managed product backlog that accelerates development and ensures timely delivery of features.
    + Result: A streamlined development process with reduced time from concept to deployment, and a high rate of feature completion.
    + KPI: Backlog item completion rate, average time items remain in the backlog before being addressed, and percentage of backlog items delivered by the committed deadline.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • + Outcome: High-performing cross-functional teams that deliver on product goals.
    + Results: Successful product launches and feature integrations.
    + KPIs: Cross-department project completion rate, number of successful product launches.
  • Performance Monitoring and Iteration:

  • + Outcome: Continuous improvement of the product based on performance data.
    + Results: Regular product enhancements that increase user engagement and satisfaction.
    + KPIs: User engagement rate, feature adoption rate, customer retention rate.

    Demonstrable leadership skills with ability to manage a team and clearly communicate vision.

  • Some technical understanding would be helpful in order to engage in conversations around development requirements.

  • Strategic thinking will be required to build a robust vision and commercially viable growth of C3NTINEL.

  • Strong communication skills are required to successfully engage with stakeholders and accurately capture requirements.

  • Knowledge of energy management and the sustainability field is desirable, in order to have meaningful conversations with stakeholders and effectively interpret their needs.


  • Experience:

    The job holder will have:
  • Clear track record of leadership throughout your career.

  • Experience having delivered excellent software products, ideally consumer-facing applications.

  • Fantastic analytical skills, ability to solve problems quickly, establish frameworks, ability to think on your feet and generalise solutions.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills tailored for each of a wide variety of audiences.

  • Prior domain expertise or a strong passion for sustainability, renewable energy, or energy management is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated business acumen and knowledge of building business models which drive product success.

  • Experience with managing stakeholders and competing priorities., Essential

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in product management or related fields.

  • Thorough understanding of agile software development.

  • Comfortable working in common product development tools (i.e. Pivotal Tracker, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, BI tools)
