Full Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Eastleigh. This is a site based position. As a Supply Chain Manager you will lead a team of 40+ including Production Control, Scheduling, Raw Material, Warehousing and Despatch. You will take responsibility for delivering the major change & enhancement programmes including strategic planning for your business area.
This position would be a great opportunity for a strategic, ambitious and adaptable person that is looking to utilise their change and people management skills in a new career.
Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the planning, raw material, goods inwards and despatch teams in the Energy and Optical production facilities

  • Ensure health and safety standards are always maintained

  • Deliver exceptional levels of customer service to both internal and external customers

  • Lead, develop, and review individual and team performances

  • Work closely with the commercial and operations departments in preparing and translating the commercial sales requirements into a strategic plan to deliver an efficient and positive outcome

  • Continuously look to improve departmental performance to support the business performance

  • Define and deliver budget and inventory targets

  • Become fully conversant with existing SAP & MES systems, and a point of leadership for any future developments

  • Maintain and publish KPI's

    The ideal candidate will hold previous experience within a Manufacturing, Production, Engineering, Operations environment.

  • Ideally have hands on experience of planning in a fast paced manufacturing environment

  • Strong exposure to Continuous Improvement or Change Management implementations.

  • Hold strong leadership and people management skills, experience of coaching and mentoring teams and individuals.

  • Experience of supporting, developing, and growing teams.

  • Confident with presentation, business skills, forecasting and budgeting

  • Experience of Planning, SAP, MRP, MES & MS Office software

  • Sound experience within Supply Chain & Logistics
