Full Job Description

The People Team partner with the business to drive excellence across the experience journey for employees of AKQA and are the catalyst for initiatives that are constantly questioning and improving process and products designed to better, and proactively serve our teams.

As People Director, you'll work alongside the London Executive team to elevate business performance through our people. Designing and developing innovative people programmes that foster a culture of excellence within AKQA.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Develop and communicate a strategic people agenda for the London studio.

  • Partner with senior management and key stakeholders to provide insightful analysis and recommendations for their respective departments.

  • Empower line managers to take ownership of performance management and employee development.

  • Ensure compliance with UK legislation by maintaining up-to-date policies and processes.

  • Establish efficient administration, processes, and reporting systems to enhance business operations.

  • Drive a visible and measurable people programme focused on continuous improvement.

  • Implement a comprehensive performance management programme including reviews, performance plans and training initiatives.

  • Develop talent maps, identify skill gaps, and create succession plans to nurture talent pipeline.

  • Define clear career paths and progression expectations for employees.

  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to the management team.

  • Enhance processes and policies within the London Studio to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Resolve employee relations matters.

  • Provide guidance on global mobility and visas ensuring compliance and seamless transitions for employees.

  • Drive change management initiatives, focusing on talent acquisition, development, and retention.

    Build trust with senior leaders, offering support and guidance to improve team performance.

  • Possess up-to-date knowledge of employment law and its application in business contexts.

  • Previous experience in a creative industry is advantageous.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
