Full Job Description

The role forms part of the HR & Payroll Services team, providing transactional advice and support to both Charity employees and managers. The Payroll Data Clerk will act primarily, but not exclusively, as a data processer for payroll related processes, specifically attendance and absence recording/reporting. They will ensure that the appropriate checks and reconciliations take place to support effective payroll controls in line with team performance standards.

  • Experience of customer services / query management with an understanding of how to resolve and escalate queries and pass on information promptly and effectively

  • Proven administrative skills and good computer literacy, specifically in Microsoft Excel.

  • 1-2 years' experience of working in a high volume transactional environment supporting Payroll Administration/Data Entry

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • A flexible approach and a desire to work as part of a team and support the wider operational environment

  • Excellent time management skills, ability to work to deadlines and around occasional/seasonal pressure

  • Experience of SAP and/or Allocate would be beneficial, although no means essential, as training will be provided.

  • Grade C or above at GCSE English & Maths
