Part Time Nursery Cook

We are an Outstanding nursery with a family ethos, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic part time Nursery cook to join our wonderful staff team. This position is 2 days per week, Monday and Tuesday - 10am - 3pm (approx.) all year round - we are closed for 2 weeks at Christmas and all bank holidays. Our ideal candidate will have experience of a Nursery or school kitchen environment.

Your duties will include:

· Cook and provide high quality, nutritious and freshly prepared meals for up to 49 children under five each day, catering for children with food allergies, intolerances and special dietary requirements in line with food hygiene and safety regulations.

· Ensuring the kitchen is well organised and the high standards of hygiene and cleanliness maintained.

· Working to time schedules to ensure the smooth running of the Nursery.

· It would be advantageous if you have knowledge of working with 'Safer Food Better Business' methods and to have your Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate, but training can be provided.

· Remaining flexible to meet the needs of the kitchen and the Nursery.

· Working alongside mealtime assistants to assist in the smooth running of the kitchen.

· Attend statutory training and personal development activities as necessary.
