Full Job Description

Full time and part time hours will be considered. A brand-new opportunity has been created for a highly motivated Nursing Associate who wants to make a difference to the lives of children, young people and their families in Stratford-upon-Avon by helping us deliver the Healthy Child Programme. The successful candidate will be a member of the School Health team and will have the option of working full time or part-time. The role is to support a range of nursing activities to support children, young people and their families by offering age-appropriate information and advice on a range of health, lifestyle and behaviour related issues. Within your role you will be expected to assist the School Nurses and School Staff Nurses through actioning any referrals triaged and allocated to your caseload. In addition, the role involves working with children, young people, families and school staff to support those with long term medical conditions. Under indirect supervision, you will work
autonomously with children and young people on a one to one and group basis and will use both face to face and virtual communication means. You will also deliver parent/carer workshops. The successful candidate will have advanced communication skills and experience of working with children, young people and families. You will be adept at maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
