Full Job Description

To be responsible for the smooth running of the baby room, toddler room or pre-school room, providing support to children aged 0-4; to be responsible for weekly planning to ensure the needs of every child are met; to work as part of a team to deliver an ambitious and flexible curriculum, which is driven by the children's interests and curiosity; to have an excellent knowledge of child development in order to accurately observe and assess children.

Operational responsibilities:

To ensure, through good practice, that the Nursery consistently meets the requirements set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage to a minimum 'good' standard; to maintain regular staff supervisions; to ensure that all policies and procedures of the Nursery are adhered to.

Our client - a Nursery near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Early Years Teaching Assistant. If you have a passion for seeing children grow and flourish, have energy and creativity, and the desire to work in an exciting and varied Early Years setting, then we may have the role for you. This permanent position has a flexible start date., As a minimum, an NVQ Level 3 qualification in childcare is required. Candidates with Level 2 and experience will be considered. The position is subject to two satisfactory employment references and a DBS check.
