Full Job Description
- Duties: Arrive in the morning to get the children ready for school including assisting them to get dressed & preparing breakfast for them, driving the children to school (approx. 10-15 mins. by car from the family's home), collecting the children from school at the end of the day at the allocated time, taking them home to get changed & prepare/oversee a nutritious & balanced evening meal, oversee free play activities & assist with any homework or reading tasks as may be required. Mum may require assistance with starting the bedtime/bath time routine some evenings depending on what time she arrives home.
- Start date: 2nd September 2024, with settling in sessions offered from late August.
- Core Hours: Term time only (approx. 36 weeks per annum) Monday to Friday 7.00am - 8.45am & 3.30pm - 6.00pm (21 hrs, 15 mins p/w). It would be much appreciated if the successful candidate could have the flexibility to stay up until 6.30pm on the odd occasion that Mum is held up at work.
- Set housekeeping hours are negotiable between 8-12 per week & can be carried out anytime whilst the children are at school.
- Salary: Up to £16.00 gross per hour dependent on hours agreed, qualifications & relevant previous experience.
Housekeeping duties include; laundry, ensuring the children's uniform & kit is ready for the following school day, grocery shopping, batch cooking, emptying/loading the dishwasher, bed changes, hoovering, dusting, & general tidying/organisation of the family home.
The successful applicant will be communicative & willing to work with the parents as partners at all times.
You must live and have the right to work in the UK.
You must have an enhanced DBS on the Gov. update system or be willing to apply for one immediately.
You must have a minimum of two immediately contactable previous employer references.
You must have an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate or be willing to complete one.
You must be willing to become registered with Ofsted.
At least 2 years of professional experience of working with children is essential for this role, although a formal childcare qualification is not mandatory.

️ A truly lovely, professional family is seeking a kind, loving & reliable Nanny/Housekeeper to take care of their 3 wonderful children aged 9, 6 & 4 yrs. before & after school, & their spacious family home located in Soham (approx. 7 miles from the beautiful city of Ely) during term time only. This amazing new opportunity is offered on a permanent, live out & sole charge basis. The children who attend a local independent school enjoy a variety of activities including horse riding, gymnastics, Lego, dinosaurs, & diggers. A safe & confident driver, with their own reliable car is mandatory, the family can provide parking & mileage will be reimbursed at a rate of 0.45p per mile for school runs or other journeys for work purposes such as running general errands ️
£1,596 gross per month, based on term time hours + 12 housekeeping hours per week for 36 weeks per annum.
