Full Job Description
The successful candidate will look at the day-to-day ownership and responsibility for scheduling material deliveries on a 'Just in Time Basis' (J.I.T). Ensuring materials are in place to satisfy production requirements whilst optimising stock levels and cost. Daily administrative tasks would also need to be completed., As a Material Scheduler and Administrator you will be expected to undertake the following:
- Extract information from Company Drawings and Specifications and transpose them into Purchase Orders (PO's).
- Schedule materials to meet the needs of the Production Plan.
- Monitor progress (and adjust as necessary) against the schedule via frequent contact with Production.
- Responsible for processing supplier PO's and returns.
- Communicate/liaise with other departments and suppliers to ensure demands of Production are met.
- Liaise with Stores or relevant individuals to manage materials.
- Act as the initial point of reference for the Production Foreman and Team Leaders.
- Be available for all Stock Checks.
- Communicate with suppliers.
- Input data into SAGE (Training will be provided)
- Updating Excel Spreadsheets.
- Booking goods in.
- Progress chasing
Ability to work under pressure, with strict timescales, abnormal situations and have the ability to think "outside the box". - Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills.
- Competent PC skills.
- Working knowledge of Sage Line 200 desirable.
- Capacity to manage and co-ordinate multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Good time keeping is expected at all times, and strong numeracy skills will be advantageous.
- You will need to be able to work on your own and as part of a team.
£12 an hour - Full-time
