Full Job Description

The Manager, Sales Systems & Programs EMEA will report to the Senior Director, Sales Systems & Programs, EMEA and will support the Sales Systems & Program team with specific global and continent sales and distribution initiatives, programs and activities on behalf of both Managed and Franchise hotels, depending on the scope of initiative or brands throughout the continent.

This role will support the Global and Continent sales & distribution systems, initiatives, programs, and activities which will primarily support driving profitable revenue and grow market share. This position will also work closely with other disciplines within the Continent where initiatives are cross discipline, such as Continent Event Management and Continent Revenue Management. This individual will also support with performance monitoring, sales system rollouts and adoption within the sales discipline.

Scope

The Manager, Sales Systems & Programs is responsible for all Marriott International brands operating in EMEA (Managed & Franchised).

  • Location: London/Frankfurt

  • Travel Requirements: Business travel is estimated at 10%, Support with implementing and sustaining key sales programs, initiatives and processes (e.g. One Source, SFAWeb, integration work streams, Customer EMEA-wide Customer Engagement activities, GDS campaigns)

  • Assist in the roll out of key company-wide sales systems, initiatives and programs by supporting with deployment analysis providing timely and detailed feedback.

  • Provide support for pilots that test new revenue generating platforms; measure and analyse performance.

  • Day to day support of sales teams relating to sales systems, programs and sales processes.

  • Support with developing effective presentation decks and running discipline specific webinars.

  • Support with the auditing of the usage of sales programs and systems to ensure adoption of the various programs.

    High school diploma or equivalent.

  • University degree preferred.

  • 2-5 years progressive work experience in the hotel industry is preferred with at least 2 years dedicated experience in sales or related professional area.

  • Language requirements: High proficiency in English is required and additional languages a plus.


  • Skills & Knowledge
  • Knowledge of all Marriott Lodging products, culture and brand strategies is preferred.

  • Good understanding of Marriott sales systems & programs

  • Basic to good understanding related to hotel operations/sales/events.

  • Ability to use standard software applications and hotel systems such as SFA, One Source, GPO, Opera etc.

  • Proficient in crafting visually appealing and well structured presentation decks

  • Excellent working knowledge of excel and powerpoint
