Full Job Description

ICG is seeking a Manager within the ICG tax team to support with funds and deals tax. The role will be primarily focused on the real estate strategy but also with involvement on all other ICG strategies. The role will involve working closely with the broader ICG Tax, Finance, Operations, Investment and Legal teams.
Primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):
Lead fund and deals tax responsibility for alternative investment funds including:

  • Real Estate

  • Private equity

  • Credit

  • Infrastructure

  • Secondaries


  • Tax responsibility includes:
  • M&A tax support to investment teams in upfront, ongoing and exit deal negotiations.

  • Implementation of Fund and intermediary deal funding and holding structures.

  • Management of tax side letter and LPA negotiations, alongside Fund Legal.


  • Interaction with global tax compliance team in respect of Fund and Deal structures, including direct and indirect tax, withholding tax and international investor reporting.

  • Liaison with Fund Operations, Fund accounting, Fund legal and wider tax team (among others) to ensure the efficient operation of Funds and Deals.

  • Support to new business development for relevant strategies, including design of new funds or strategies.

  • Impact management of new tax legislation, including OECD Pillar II, ATAD3 and local requirements.


  • Key Requirements/ Qualifications
    You will have demonstrable experience of:
    Essential
  • Experience in deals tax primarily with private equity clients ideally from a Big 4 accounting firm.
