Full Job Description

A vacancy has arisen in the Licensing Team for a Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer. As the lead officer for all work associated with the Licensing Act, the Gambling Act, the Scrap Metal Dealers Act, and pavement licensing, you will undertake visits, investigate, and respond to complaints and take enforcement action under relevant licensing legislation. You will also investigate complaints in relation to both licensed and unlicensed premises.

You will also be responsible for submitting licence reviews and responding to licence application consultations, and where appropriate, make representations. You will undertake mediation on representations, and when required, will present representations or review applications by attending Licensing Sub-Committee hearings.

You must have experience and be up to date and competent in relation to the Licensing Act and the Gambling Act.

You must have a current valid driving licence with access to a car to travel around the Borough.
