Full Job Description

You'll be joining our Business Affairs team at MUBI, playing a central role in the execution of all distribution agreements, specifically for sales & production teams.

You will focus on:

Supporting and advising on BA & legal matters, including:

  • Drafting, negotiating and advising on licensing, distribution, acquisition, production, partnership agreements, internal documentation and templates across all departments, and all third-party agreements.

  • Supporting corporate matters, including HR issues and compliance.

  • Advising on compliance matters including Data Protection and Privacy for the Platform

  • Providing guidance on on customer support matters


  • Advising on rights and IP issues in connection with the use of third-party content (music, stills, clips, marketing materials etc) and chain of title documents

  • Advising on and managing contentious matters

  • Supporting the Legal and Business Affairs team with ad-hoc requests where needed

  • Managing and drafting a high volume of contracts and queries with a fast turnaround

  • Working cross-functionally with all MUBI teams (sales, licensing, acquisition, finance, HR, corporate, marketing, PR/communications)

    You are a qualified lawyer

  • Experience in the film and/or TV industry

  • Excellent drafting skills and the ability to work across a wide variety of contracts

  • A highly-organised, resourceful and excellent communicator

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines

  • Proactive problem-solver

  • Flexibility to work on ad-hoc tasks and projects as required


  • A collaborative team player who brings a positive energy to the team


  • Confident working with team members of varying levels of seniority

  • Excellent proficiency in English
