Full Job Description

We are looking for a lead systems analyst join an award winning team with a proven track record of combining data science technique with an intimate knowledge of payments data to aid Financial Institutions in their fight against money laundering and fraud. Headquartered in The City of London, we craft bespoke services that help our clients gain an understanding of the underlying criminal behaviour that drives financial crime, empowering them to take action.

As part of the application development team, your role will focus on defining and translating requirements from partner teams for the software engineering team. This will involve iterating existing products and designing and developing new ones.

Role

  • Meet with business leaders and business analysts to discuss and elicit under-the-surface needs and translate them into specific system requirements and subsequent project objectives.


  • Identify solutions for less complex, more common issues.


  • Independently create prototype designs for components of applications or projects and writes basic documentation, such as test plans and scripts.


  • Define project requirements and assists with estimating efforts to fulfil requirements.


  • Coach junior resources in development of prototype designs for less complex projects.


  • Coordinate impact to vendor and company workflow for new products.


  • Responsible for test scenarios creation, some testing and test results review.


  • Assist with analysis of support ticket issues.


  • Write user stories and features.


  • Explore the team's ability to accomplish a project.


  • Serve as an intermediary between the software engineering team and product team.


  • Analyse requirements to determine the system needs to fulfil those requirements.


  • Translate requirements into realistic goals and well defined epics/features/stories.


  • Assist in planning and writing user acceptance tests.


  • The role is hybrid, based in central London, and the expectation is that you attend the office according to Mastercard policy, including team days on Monday and Thursday., All activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks comes with an inherent risk to the organization and, therefore, it is expected that every person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security and must:

  • Abide by Mastercard's security policies and practices;

  • Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed;

  • Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and

  • Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard's guidelines.

    You are comfortable communicating with a range of stakeholders, including subject matter experts, data scientists, software engineers and enterprise devops and security professionals.


  • Experience with agile methodologies.


  • Familiar with confluence and JIRA.


  • Knowledge of backend software developer, API driven systems and low latency products.


  • Experience in new program/product launch across multiple markets/countries.


  • Focussed on technology solutions to business problems.


  • You may have domain knowledge in payments, fraud, anti-money laundering and machine learning.
