Kitchen Manager

Our city centre coffee shop is looking for a full time kitchen manager to join our friendly, coffee loving team! Hours are full time between 7.30am and 3.30pm and will include some weekends., The kitchen manager will be responsible for co-ordinating the day to day running of our kitchen according to strict food and safety standards. Successful applicants will have a passion for baking and will ideally have previous experience in a similar setting with food hygiene/ health and safety experience. Duties will include but not be limited to:

Food preparation (salads/ sandwiches/ bagels/ "on toast")
Baking home made cakes and pastries
Catering for group events
Managing sell by dates and rotating stock
Managing and ordering stock
Organising stock room
Washing, cleaning, chopping and cooking food
Ensuring clean and tidy, well run kitchen is in operation at all times
Washing up and other general kitchen duties
Store food products in compliance with safety practices
Some face to face customer service / serving food to customers
Work as part of a team to ensure the successful running of the coffee shop

Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends
Excellent organisational skills
Food hygiene certificate
Passion for baking
An understanding of cost/ profit margins
