Kitchen Assistant

Job Role Summary: day to day you'll be working in our modern, well equipped commercial catering kitchen, based in Shoreham-By-Sea. You and your colleagues will be responsible for the preparation of fresh ingredients which are used to prepare our hot and cold meals for service and delivery.,

• Assist the head chef in all aspects of food preparation and cooking


• Cooking and taste testing of variety of meals


• Product labelling and date labelling


• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely service


• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines


• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment


• Liaising with the head chef on your stock needs


• Suggestions of new menu items for seasonal menus.
  
  Previous experience working in a commercial environment preferred.


• Knowledge of COSHH


• Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures


• Experience in food preparation and cooking techniques


• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously


• Knowledge of allergen and dietary controls and safe handling
