Junior Purchaser

· Liaising with suppliers via the telephone and email to gain updates on order status' and stock positions

· Communicating with production departments to keep them informed of stock status'

· Calculation of fabric to effectively optimise usage and reduce wastage

· Liaising with customers via telephone and email to keep them informed of any updates to their order

· Checking off and reconciling purchase delivery notes to purchase orders

· Co-ordinating stock returns and requests for credits

· You may carry out other duties from time-to-time

Training will be provided on our bespoke computer system for general business practices. Once training is completed, you will proceed to our purchasing department where you will need to work autonomously as part of a team to ensure daily duties are completed efficiently and effectively. You will be required to use a range of communication methods to carry out this role.
