Full Job Description

The role will be based at our Norwich Office on a Monday to Friday basis although there will be an occasional requirement for travel to other sites to liaise with other finance functions based there.,

  • The Junior Financial Accountant will be responsible for providing accurate and timely information to the Group's key stakeholders. This includes:

  • o Preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts and cash flow including analytical review and variance analysis under the supervision of the financial accountant.
    o Preparation of quarterly financial accounts under the supervision of the financial accountant
    o Balance sheet reconciliations and agreement of inter-company accounts.
    o Management of aged debtors and counterparty risk.
    o Assisting with annual budget process.
  • Other key tasks include:

  • o Liaison with external auditors and management of year end / interim audits.
    o Preparation of consolidation for UK group companies.
    o Preparation of the Group Statutory Accounts under IFRS.
    o Liaison with Tax Manager and assistance with tax computations/PRT returns.
    o Preparation of monthly VAT returns.
  • Assisting the Financial accountant / Financial Controller in any ad hoc projects as required.

  • Developing good working practices and continually looking for improvements in underlying processes.

    Part / fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) would be preferable but relevant experience will be considered.

  • Knowledge of SAP accounting package is a plus but training will be provided

  • knowledge of Microsoft Office package

  • 1-2 years Finance/Accounts experience in similar role preferable but not essential.
