Full Job Description

We are looking for someone who is passionate about data and working cross-departmentally to make data driven decisions to enhance our business performance. As an Insights Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our marketing, e-commerce and business strategy by analysing data to uncover actionable insights. Reporting to our Head of E-Commerce, you will work closely with our cross-functional teams to provide valuable insights that drive decision-making, optimising our marketing campaigns, production development and enhancing our customer experience.

Based in our Brighton HQ, this role will seamlessly integrate with our dynamic on-site marketing and product teams, fostering unparalleled collaboration and synergy. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Market and customer insight generation (identifying and collecting appropriate customer, competitor, and market data such as pricing, market share, and proposition changes), etc.


  • Working with the Head of E-Commerce to assist with setting a vision and direction for the team, engaging and motivating the team, and ensuring the business is clear on who we are, and what we deliver.

  • Drive continuous improvement through delivering critical insights and recommended strategy to the Marketing, Trading and Merchandising teams, supporting their decision making in campaign, lifecycle, UX and product development.

  • Collaborate cross-departmentally with different sources and teams to provide the business with a holistic understanding of the market.

  • Provide business insights to colleagues within the loyalty business to demonstrate the impact of activities and customer value, ensuring that a data-led drive leads decision making.

  • Work in close collaboration with colleagues to undertake targeted A/B tests with hypothesis and solid post activity analysis with defined success metrics.

  • Work with external agencies and data providers, ensuring timely delivery of relevant and actionable insights.

  • Expertly translate, understand, and interpret data and insight from multiple channels to build a culture of innovative, exciting storytelling within the team, drawing on standard process for how to engage with insight.

  • Design and deliver periodic reporting, highlighting trends and monitoring KPI's.

  • Develop quantitative analysis, ad hoc reports and models to support product decisions and turn into actionable goals

  • Effectively communicate analysis outputs to wider teams within KILLSTAR to help support delivery.

  • Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and improve performance within the business.

  • Bring a passion for the KILSTAR Brand, aiming to enhance our customer journey and digital experience.

  • Work alongside Marketing, IT, E-Commerce, Product Teams and Customer Service to improve reporting and analysis within the business.

  • Be comfortable with leading analytic functions and dealing with data that you can articulate, communicate and champion the right culture for the e-commerce team, balancing expertise with responsiveness.

  • Build systems and processes to transform raw data into actionable business insights.

  • Build a good understanding of insight at senior levels and swiftly become a trusted source of truth about customers for the Leadership Team and other senior leaders.

  • Demonstratable experience on Shopify or a similar e-commerce platform.

  • Extensive experience working with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.

  • Experience in Meta ads/performance marketing optimisation.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Use of analytics to assist with making data-driven decisions.

  • Data driven with focus on conversion rate and tracking customer flow through the site.

  • Working cross-departmentally and comfortable working with all levels of seniority.


  • BONUS IF YOU:
  • Have worked in a remote/hybrid environment, as part of an E-Commerce Team.

  • Have managed or worked on e-commerce activities for a company with a multinational customer base.

  • Have a personal affinity or connection to the alternative fashion or lifestyle communities.


  • WORK HOURS & LOCATION:

    This role will be based on a hybrid working basis between our Brighton Studio and remote working. 3 days work from office and 2 days remote.

    This position is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week, with hours worked between 08:00 - 06:00pm, Monday through to Friday. This position can be worked on a hybrid basis, however the candidate must live in a commutable distance to Brighton.
