Full Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Community Services team to make this new role their own!

You will support customers in debt or who are struggling to pay their adult social care bills and help them manage their finances and budget more effectively. You will work closely with North Somerset Council & Liberata to develop this service.

This support can include showing them how to maximise their income, creating budget plans to understand their spending and payment responsibilities. You will also provide wider advice and guidance on housing, health, social care and connecting them to other community services.

A key outcome would be the reduced overall social adult care debt within our area.

You will have experience working in housing or an advice & guidance, social care environment and have an understanding of welfare benefits, grants, money/debt advice.

You will have strong negotiation skills and be able to work sensitively with our customers, many of whom will have life limiting conditions, disabilities and significant care & support needs

Due to the nature of this role, you will need to be able to drive with access to your own vehicle.

The successful candidate will also be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
