Full Job Description

To undertake and oversee the daily housekeeping duties in all areas of Prior's Court School.

Previous Housekeeping/ Cleaning and Team Leading experience is essential for this position.

To undertake a full range of cleaning duties daily as part of the Housekeeping team
To undertake deep cleaning/spring cleaning as required
Operation of all equipment necessary to carry out the above
Preparation of rooms as necessary, including staff and parent accommodation
Assist in the smooth running of the laundry alongside the current team, providing cover where required
Assist with creating and maintaining a rota in your individual area to ensure all required tasks are carried out daily and weekly as required, ensuring sickness and absence cover is maintained
Work with the Maintenance Team by raising tickets/emails for issues as they arise, to maintain high standards in each area as well as regularly checking the portal for tickets assigned to Housekeeping to ensure these are either completed or delegated to the wider team for completion
Maintaining a safe working environment and awareness of Health & Safety, ensuring COSHH records are up to date and in the correct place. Training staff on equipment and ensuring their compliance to policies and procedures relating to H&S
Ensure all equipment is stored and maintained properly, reporting issues to Maintenance where required, sourcing parts or replacements online from approved suppliers where items cannot be fixed
Provide holiday and sickness cover to other members of the Housekeeping Team
Work alongside other Team Leaders to deputise for the Housekeeping Manager during their absence or leave.
Ensure all Housekeepers have access to equipment and materials as required throughout the day, maintaining levels of stock in storerooms, and providing management with stock takes as required
Carrying out quality audits using online forms to ensure high standards are maintained and providing training and support where problems are identified
Meet with the Housekeeping Team in your area as required by management including but not limited to regular team meetings, training sessions and monthly check in's
Liaise and meet when required with other Team Leaders to ensure there is a consistent approach in relation to management, area's covered and expectations within the role
Any other tasks as directed to meet the requirements of the role and to always operate in a style that is consistent with the values and vision of Prior's Court.

A good standard of GCSE education including English and Maths or equivalent, Disability Confident

We have since grown to support around 90 young people with autism aged between 5-25 years with the opening of Prior's Court Young Adult Provision in 2011.

Since opening, our support team has grown from around 20 to 500 and we have built a reputation as a leading edge educational, vocational, and residential facility for young people with autism.
