Full Job Description

  • Light cleaning duties,

  • laundry and ironing,

  • bed linen change,

  • shopping,

  • helping to prepare a light meal or snack,

  • prescription collection and

  • companionship


    • The needs of the clients will be assessed by one of team, prior to allocating the visit to ensure you are not expected to carry out work outside of your remit. You will be provided with guidance regarding keeping yourself and your client safe.

    Personal care is not part of the service we offer.

    The Home Help service operates in and around the Fareham area, between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday and does not include Bank Holidays.

    Home Helps can specify which area they wish to work, on which days and for how many hours a day.

    As a Home Help you will enjoy:

    • The position is rewarding and flexible although Home Helps are required to ensure they keep their commitments to their clients.

    All Home Helps will need to have a satisfactory enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

    • All Gardeners will need to hold a satisfactory basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

  • Be self employed

  • Work flexible hours Monday to Friday

    • We are looking for gardeners to help support older and vulnerable clients with low-level gardening work, including:
  • Weeding

  • Mowing

  • Light trimming & tidying of shrubs

  • Low hedge trimming
