An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Orthopaedic department at Kent and Medway Orthopaedic Centre (KMOC). We are looking for a positiveforward-thinking person, enthusiastic, flexible, with a strong work ethic and a background in clinical or customer care

The Centre will contain the latest novel open plan laminar flow theatres; open-plan surgical areas where up to three patients are treated in a dedicated space with a specialised air canopy over each station to prevent the spread of infection. The new facility will also include a 14-bed inpatient ward and a 10-bed day case ward, with recovery, x-ray and therapy space, all within a dedicated elective building.

The role exists to provide a multi-skilled worker who, under the direct/indirect supervision of a Registered Healthcare Professional, supports the multidisciplinary team with clinical and non-clinical practices in order to provide patient-centred care., You will be responsible for delivering high quality patient care with direct supervision from the registered nurse. Excellent communication skills, flexibility and time management are essential skills needed for this post to ensure the patient's journey through their hospital stay is as comfortable as possible. Good standards of documentation are expected along with a commitment to working in a kind and compassionate manner

A new multimillion-pound theatre complexopening in 2024providing three operating theatres and 24 dedicated surgical bedsfor patients having planned orthopaedic surgery.

  • Part of a national scheme to deliver more than 50 new surgical hubs across England, the Centre is separate from the main hospital building and Emergency Department. Once complete, the building will be known as the Kent and Medway Orthopaedic Centre and will treat patients from across the region, increasing the Trust's capacity for planned surgical procedures.
