Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our team in Birmingham. The location is currently Rubery Owen but will be moving to Brindley Place, Birmingham.

You will take a lead role in supporting your designated business area providing advice and support in relation to employee and workplace-based health and safety matters to ensure that GreenSquareAccord (GSA) provides a safe place of work.

The Health & Safety Advisor will be the main point of contact with staff and managers in their designated business area in relation to Health & Safety in the workplace and provide technical and specialist guidance, direction, and support.

You must have a NEBOSH Certificate and knowledge/experience of working in the housing or maintenance environment.

You will have a good general or technical education beyond GCSE e.g., 2 or more A- Levels/NVQ3 or vocabulary, verbal reasoning, and numerical skills to the equivalent ability level.

You will hold membership to a health and safety professional body e.g. TechIOSH.

You will need the ability to write clear and accessible documentation.

You will be able to apply current and emerging health and safety legislation and how it applies to GSA.
