Health Care Assistant - Jigsaw

Eden Valley Hospice is a dynamic and responsive specialist care provider for people with palliative and end of life care needs. We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, flexible and committed Healthcare Assistants to join our friendly specialist team with Jigsaw, our childrens hospice.,

• To assist with and participate in the delivery of care and the provision of a range of activities to children, young people and adults with life shortening conditions and complex health needs at the Hospice and occasionally in the community.


We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated people, who have the skills and ability to assist and participate in the delivery of care under the guidance of Registered Nurses and provide support to their professional role and function.

To provide and maintain a safe and homely environment for the children, young people and adults who access the service and their families or carers while they are visiting or staying in the Hospice

Our preference would be for the post holder to work various shifts (12 hours) on rotation between days and nights.

Based in Carlisle, we have a children's hospice, 10-bed inpatient unit and day services.

We provide day to day care, support and activities to children and young people living with a life limiting illness, complex needs and palliative care, including end of life care.

Our care is provided in a home from home setting and each young persons care is personalised towards their own needs.

We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated people, who have the skills and ability to assist and participate in the delivery of care under the guidance of Registered Nurses.

£23,091 to £24,401 a year Shift enhancements for weekend, nights and bank holidays.
