Full Job Description

'At Leytonstone School, we work hard together, hands held, challenged to improve, and we improve every day. We are a proud community dedicated to growth; we take care of ourselves and each other.'

We are seeking to appoint a Head of Year (Year 7) to join our successful and supportive pastoral team.

Our school ethos is focused on developing children beyond just their academic potential; we are committed to developing their full potential as people.

This is a perfect opportunity for a candidate looking to join a successful school whilst making a lasting difference to young people's lives.

Our staff body is warm and collegiate with a strong moral purpose. The culture at Leytonstone School is collaborative, professional and supportive.

To be successful in your application, you will need to demonstrate the ability to deal with difficult situations assertively, use tact and diplomacy and de-escalate emotionally-charged situations. The post will also require an individual who really cares for young people, someone pupils have the confidence to bring their issues to. You will also welcome the opportunity to collaborate with families and liaise with external agencies.

If you would like more details about the school or the pastoral team, please contact Mel Huseyin on , or email: mhuseyin@leytonstoneschool.org .

We may hold interviews as and when applications are received, and this job may be withdrawn without notice. Applications will only be considered if submitted online and before the closing deadline. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
