Grounds Maintenance Operative

£26,873 - £28,770 (NJC Scale Point 13-17)

Generous LGPS Pension Scheme

37 hours per week

Beaconsfield, South Buckinghamshire

The Council is looking for a groundsperson with a passion for and broad knowledge of a variety of areas of amenity management, horticulture, arboriculture, and maintaining sports pitches.

Applicants must be confident working at a range of locations within the Town and have practical knowledge of health and safety.

Maintenance duties will include operating and maintaining grounds maintenance and horticultural equipment including hand tools, strimmers, hedge-cutters, chainsaws, tractors, ride on mowers, and any other machinery required to undertake allocated tasks.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly established in-house grounds service. As such, the successful candidate will be expected to take a flexible approach to their duties, to help us define the service in the longer term.

Candidates must have experience and hold the relevant qualifications to handle equipment and carry out tasks mentioned in the Job Description.
