Full Job Description

For this newly established role, we are seeking a GP who is looking to diversify and specialise in eating disorders on a part-time basis.

The postholder's main responsibilities will be related to the comprehensive monitoring and management of the physical health of adult patients with an eating disorder. A keen interest in eating disorders and in developing the necessary specialist expertise is essential for all applicants. Specialist training will be provided to the successful candidate, who will enjoy excellent ongoing support and supervision from our specialist team.

The successful candidate will work alongside the service's Psychiatrist and Nurse Consultant., The specialist adult eating disorder service in Buckinghamshire provides a stepped care, integrated multidisciplinary evidence-based treatment approach. The Service has also recently launched the FREED initiative and we are working toward introduction of the PEACE pathway, which is already well embedded in our CAMHS ED Service.
