Full Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate General Manager/Food Stylist to join our corporate events catering team, with experience of top-notch canapes, grazing tables and platters/FOOD STYLING. If you have a strong culinary background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for creating delicious dishes, we would love to hear from you.

Duties:

Responsible for the day to day running of Platter Up

Inspiring and leading the team (as the team grows)

Hands-on setting up grazing tables, flowers etc at clients premises.

Hands-on helping getting items ready for orders and assisting with simple food prep at production kitchen.

  • Monitor and check food quality and consistency

  • Instigate checking systems for consistency

  • Recruitment and training as necessary

  • Bring on board new clients

  • Obtaining nominated supplier status in venues around London

  • Ensuring smooth running of events

  • Prepare event and catering quotes (set up procedures for this)

  • Developing and maintain client relationships, visiting clients, keep in regular contact with key clients (set up procedure for this)

  • Converting enquiries into cost effective sales and repeat business.

  • Ensure clients have been invoiced and have paid, (set up a system to monitor this)

  • Managing customer retention

  • Keeping an up to date record of sales conversions

  • Arrange and attend sample meetings

  • Assist in developing sales initiatives

  • Hands-on uploading on social media and creating the content

  • Monitor customer journey from placing order to receiving goods and improve where feasible

  • Manage staff rotas/costs in accordance with targets set

  • Ordering equipment hire if needed for deliveries and events

  • Oversee drivers delivery and collection sheets and followed up if any equipment is missing

  • Ensure all costs are controlled inc staff costs for events

  • Keep up to date with competitor activity and current trends

  • Improve social and environmental policies for the company


  • · Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation

    · Monitor financials and Management Accounts and act thereon.

    · To promote the Company and brand in a positive light at all times

    · Any other reasonable requests from the Company Directors
