Full Job Description

Employee-owned Haywood Landscapes are looking for a garden designer on a full-time basis to join our national award-winning team. We are based in East Kent and specialise in domestic garden design-and-build.
Our 'USP'
Through establishing an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) we have recently become employee-owned. This gives all team members a stake and voice in the business. Profits are shared by all on a fair basis. We have a strong 'team' ethos. Working together we deliver high quality beautiful gardens to delighted clients and empower colleagues to achieve personal and professional fulfilment.

+ The ability to create imaginative and deliverable designs in 2D and 3D using CAD design software. Vectorworks is preferred but not essential
+ A good plant knowledge to facilitate creation of appealing and site/client appropriate planting plans.
+ A recognised garden design qualification.
+ Professionalism and a good work ethic, allied with a personable manner.
+ Experience of, or an appetite to develop in the role of estimating and project management.
+ Some 'hands-on' landscaping or gardening experience is beneficial.
+ A full driving licence and own reliable transport (car).

Starting salary circa £34,000, but negotiable according to experience.
Additional renumeration via our Company Profit Sharing Scheme including tax free bonuses (in compliance with taxation rules for EOT's)
Core Duties
+ Undertake initial client consultations and garden surveys
+ Create garden designs working to clients' brief and budgetary guide.
+ Costing the design builds using 'Liberate' estimating software (with support as needed).
+ Client presentation of the design and quotation.
+ Working mainly from our office near Canterbury with some home-working.
Other Duties (according to experience)
+ Project management - overseeing delivery of your designs.
+ 'Hands-on' work eg. planting, pruning or other skilled tasks according to your skill set.
