Full Job Description

  • To gain a sound Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS through the support of your colleagues.

  • To develop the core skills required to deliver effective practice in all areas of learning and development during every interaction with any child.

  • To nurture and build trusting relationships with all children.

  • To gain an understanding of the importance of communicating and working in partnership with families and outside agencies.

  • To work as part of a professional team of practitioners.

  • To develop the skills required to make positive contributions as a valued team member.

  • Take ownership of own learning and personal professional development of self.


    • Responsibilities and requirements
  • To assist colleagues in raising the overall quality of the Nursery.

  • To form strong professional relationships with your Co-key children and their families.

  • To observe your mentor and colleagues practices and to listen and reflect positively to any constructive comments offered.

  • To implement such learnt practices yourself and seek guidance when necessary.

  • To show interest and participate in the planning and delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) under the guidance of your mentors and colleagues.

  • To professionally discuss and question any concerns regarding the safety and welfare of any child.
