Full Time Goldsmith Temporary

We are looking for a new full-time goldsmith to join our team of 25 at our prestigious family-run High Street location in Winchester. We are known locally for our high quality service, repairs and manufactures, as well as our collection of classic and bespoke jewellery.

Ideally we are looking for an all round goldsmith with experience in:
Basic repairs
Ring sizing
Complex repairs
Manufacturing
Basic setting

A typical day would include:
Communicating with colleagues about jobs
Sizing rings purchased within an hour
Tightening loose stones
Cleaning/polishing rings whilst customers wait
Varied repairs including chain repairs, half shanks, reclaw, bezel rebuilds
Resetting stones whilst repairing
Manufacturing new items from clients gold
Quality checking own work to an exceptional standard

The candidate must be able to attend an in-person interview and bench test day. Fluent English is necessary for the role. Please send a covering letter with your CV.

You would be working as part of a 5 strong fun, friendly workshop team supporting a large award winning retailer. Fully equipped air-conditioned workshop with 2 lasers, microscope & separate polishing room. Excellent salary paid for the right applicant. The position is for an initial 18 months but potential to extend afterwards.
