Full Job Description

As our new Staff Nurse, you would be welcomed into a safe and supportive multidisciplinary staff team that would empower and encourage you to be the best version of yourself for the benefit of those we care for.

On a day-to-day basis, the role would involve assessing, planning and implementing evidence-based care, working as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team and as the named nurse for an identified group of service users.

The post-holder would also help run shifts and assist the Charge Nurse and Team Leader, supporting and acting as a positive role model to more junior members of the team. Working hours would involve shifts, including some nights, weekends and bank holidays.,

  • Actively fulfilling the role of Named Nurse for an identified group of service-users, providing a holistic approach to assessment, treatment, review and management of packages of care.

  • Ensuring the statutory requirements of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act are observed and applied at all times.

  • Working flexibly and co-operatively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver quality person-centred care.

  • Assisting in the day-to-day smooth running of the unit, providing clinical supervision to junior staff as required.

  • Working with, talking to and listening to service-users, carers and families, and encouraging their participation in the recovery process.

    The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to manage competing demands and organise their own work effectively. They must be non-judgemental, sensitive and calm, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They also need a good understanding of relational security and must be prepared to model and promote the Trust's values at all times., You must have RNMH/RNLD/RMN/RGN and be registered with the NMC. Experience of care planning and of assessing and managing clinical risk are essential. Mentorship training and management training would be an advantage, as would experience of working in a secure setting., RNMH/RNLD/RMN/RGN
