Full Job Description

Your role: This role will provide complex accounting support for the INEOS Automotive global entities. This will include performing account reconciliations, supporting month and year end closing, and the review of actual accounting data.

The jobholder is also expected to be more widely involved in the financial accounting of the business, supporting the Financial Accounting Manager as required on project and ad-hoc work.

Accountabilities of the job (including but not limited to):

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.

  • Support the Financial Accounting Manager with month end closing, including preparation of standard journals and the preparation of information for review. This must be done with adherence to month end processes and timings to ensure that Group reporting requirements are met.

  • Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations.

  • Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are performed and variances are investigated in a timely manner.

  • Support with Group and local statutory audits.

  • Support with the preparation of data for the annual corporate tax returns.

  • Review accounting processes and practices, and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations.

  • Ad hoc tasks and projects as required by the Financial Accounting Manager

    Accounting qualification (fully qualified AAT, part qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA, or relevant degree).

  • Experience in financial accounting, including month end closing.

  • Strong experience with SAP or similar ERP system.

  • Good understanding of financial controls.

  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.

  • Ability to communicate clearly.

  • Logical thinking and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated and able to prioritise multiple activities.

  • Able to work in a busy team environment and adhere to strict deadlines.

  • Automotive industry and/or Manufacturing experience is a strong advantage.
