Finance Assistant

This is a 25 hours per week part -time position. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm. Our preference would be for you to work at least 3 days per week, that said, working hours and days are negotiable.

You will work alongside our Company Accountant, being responsible for the daily and monthly supplier and customer ledger processes.

It is preferable that you have an accountancy qualification such as bookkeeping, AAT or part-qualified accountant. You will receive on the job training in our policies and procedures, so that you are quickly brought up to speed with our working practices.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

The ability to listen to suppliers and negotiate winning solutions.

Strong communications skills using, but not limited to, telephone and email.

Strong organisational skills.

Competency with Sage 50 Accounts and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Outlook & Word).

Confidence to deal with a range of stakeholders.

Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise your workload.,

What will you receive by working at Waterside Labs?

Salary is £16,900 to £19,500 per annum, based on a 25 hour week position.

28 days holiday including bank holidays (pro rata). There is no fighting for holiday at Christmas and New Year, as we shut during this period.

Full time hours are 8½ per day. Part time hours and days are negotiable.

You don't need to pay for parking.

You can join your colleagues for morning and afternoon tea/coffee breaks when we all stop work and have a chat.

We'll contribute to a pension scheme for you, subject to eligibility.
