Estimator

Review project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Analyse project plans and identify potential cost-saving opportunities
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather relevant data
- Utilise estimating software and tools to create comprehensive estimates
- Prepare bid packages and submit proposals to clients
- Participate in bid review meetings and negotiations with clients
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documentation

Experience as an Estimator preferably in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques
- Proficient in reading and interpreting specifications, and other construction documents
- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to perform take-offs, and calculate quantities accurately
- Familiarity with estimating software and tools
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
