Full Job Description

We manufacture precision sheet metalwork products for the aerospace, communications and electronics industries. An Engineering Operative apprentice would be learning production worker skills within all areas on the manufacturing facility. The apprentice would report directly to the supervisor of that department.,

  • Metal surface finishing

  • Masking and pre-paint preparation

  • Fastener insertion on a Haeger machine

  • Learning to master the use of pillar drills for drilling, countersinking and tapping, metal treatments and machine metal forming.


  • The role is essentially a junior production worker job where all training will be given for a wide variety of tasks. Day to day contact: engineering supervisor/ paint shop supervisor / workshop manager.

  • Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held., Communication skills, Attention to detail, Team working, GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 4-9) Desired
