Full Job Description
As an Engineering Analyst at SCS, you would:
- Conduct quantitative analysis of temperature measurements on engine components
- Relate this analysis to real client engine-test data. How does it compare to alternative temperature/ test parameters? Does
- Communicate/ visualise the data with the target audience always in mind
- Develop new methods to process and analyse data
- Contribute to research published in academic journals and conference proceedings
- Independently manage client relationships and projects and grow into a leadership role
Excellent higher education degree in Mechanical Engineering/Materials Science/Physics or a related discipline with a - Proven leadership skills
- Data compiling, cleaning and analytical skills, Design of Experiment experience
- Excellent communication skills for writing, reporting and ability to present complex technical ideas and results
- Coding skills: proficient in Python (Numpy, Matplotlib, SciPy & Pandas libraries) or MATLAB etc.
- Firm grasp of thermodynamics, advanced heat transfer
- Thorough understanding of typical mechanical systems used in the Power Generation, Aerospace and Automotive Sectors,
- A creative problem solving mindset, but meticulous attention to detail
- Familiarity with SolidEdge/SolidWorks
- PhD/MSc/MEng or equivalent is desired, but excellent BSc/BEng university graduates are welcome to apply. Minimum 5
- Knowledge of laser diagnostics or thermographic phosphors is advantageous. Predictive modelling techniques.
