Engineer

PPK are looking for an experienced engineer to join the team and help support the Company to meet customer requirements. The role specifically will be focusing on fitter stripping and assessing for quotation purposes, reassembling and testing hydraulic cylinders and pumps.

The engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety and Company policy and procedures and be able to support the workshop manager by undertaking additional tasks and responsibilities when requested.

The role is full time at 39.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Role Responsibilities

• fitter stripping and assessing hydraulic cylinders to meet customer specifications


• Assessing cylinders for quotation purposes


• Reassembling and testing hydraulic cylinders and pumps


• Maintain safe working conditions of machine shop to prevent injury


• Ensure all job are completed to the standards required and on time


• Be aware of relevant Health and Safety requirements. Health and Safety is of paramount importance to the Company.
  
  Hydraulic experience would be preferable but not critical


• Previous experience in a mechanically based role is required


• Strong attention to detail and ability to use your own initiative


• Candidate must be able to demonstrate good housekeeping in their work area, be organised and efficient


• Excellent problem solving skills


• Ability to work independently and part of a team
