Your Role

The role of the Programme Coordinator is to coordinate the day-to-day activities of your allocated group, and be a key point of contact through the day. This could be within a local school, or on a day trip to a city/ attraction. On in-school days, you may need to deliver a learning activity after school finishes for up to 1.5 hours. You will be naturally friendly, confident, outgoing, well-organised and a problem-solver.

A typical might involve greeting students on their morning arrival at school, ensuring they meet with their allocated buddy, attend lessons and know where they should be throughout the day. You may liaise with teachers within the school if they have questions, lead a learning activity after school, and will ensure students are collected by their host family at the end of the day. You'll aim to be a great ambassador for the company.

A typical could be to a destination such as Harry Potter World, the New Forest, London or Southampton, and you'll ensure all planned activities for the day go smoothly, coordinate with the coach driver, lead the group to lunch and keep students and their teachers safe and supervised.

Work Dates: Approx. 16th June - 21st Jul TBC - (to include training & pre-programme meetings., Maintain effective communication with students, clients and stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the programme, including transportation and organisation of students.

- Teaching & Activity Leading

Deliver engaging and educational activities for students for up to 1.5 hours per day, at the end of the school day, covering various subjects and cultural topics.

- Cultural Day Trip Excursions

Lead enjoyable and safe day trips to various destinations, ensuring coordination with coaches and adherence to risk assessments.

- Homestay Coordination

Manage daily communication between homestay families and students, ensuring adherence to schedules and arrangements.

- Student Welfare

Prioritise the safety and wellbeing of students at all times, including adherence to behaviour guidelines and welfare policies.

Salary & Working hours

Typical working hours for a Mon-Fri in-school day are 8am- 5pm, but can vary depending on the programme.

Trip days tend to be longer, typically 8am- 7pm.

  • working within a UK school setting: 1 year (preferred)

  • teaching or tutoring: 1 year (preferred)

    We expect successful candidates to be keen to work as many hours as possible over the programme weeks. In previous years, this has been Monday- Sunday, approximately 60 hours per week.


  • Salary: £28,000 (pro-rata) per 40 hour week + £13.50 for any overtime worked on top of this.

    Coordinators typically earn £700-£820 a week.

    Accommodation & Meals: In some cases, accommodation can be provided close to the school site. This is provided in addition to your salary.

    Lunch is provided daily.
