Full Job Description

Informa Connect - Life Sciences Division is seeking an Editor for its newly-established Editorial Department to provide editorial expertise to its scientific portfolios. The Editor, Drug Modalities reports to the Editorial Director and works closely with internal conference producers, as well as external stakeholders. The Editor should have familiarity with the following topics: drug modalities including peptides/oligonucleotides, antibodies, mRNA, and cell and gene therapy. The Editor should have a desire to grow their visibility, knowledge and craft with an eye to thought leadership for the vertical.

The Editor, Drug Modalities is responsible for the following:

  • Monitoring industry news and developments and reporting on same.

  • Engage with and interview scientists and thought leaders for articles and features.

  • Engage external stakeholders such as, media relations for companies, societies, associations within the vertical to inform audience on industry developments.

  • Responsible for editing all first-line assignments, oversight and quality for all editorial contributions posted on the platform.

  • Works closely with Conference Producers in the vertical to establish credible and neutral thought-leadership and editorial expertise.

  • Responsible for establishing an audience and community within the vertical.

  • Responsible for regularly produced eNewsletter.

    Job capabilities:

  • Three to five years reporting or writing experience.

  • Working knowledge of the drug modalities listed above.

  • Ability to write original multi-source articles; original single source interviews/profiles; onsite event news/articles.

  • Working knowledge of transcription editing, CMS, video production and editing and eNewsletter production/management.
