Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee our nursery facility. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, managing staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage a team of nursery staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling

- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for children

- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and safety guidelines

- Maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress

- Monitor and assess the development and well-being of each child in the nursery

- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

- Handle any disciplinary issues or concerns that may arise

- Oversee the maintenance of the nursery facility and ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met

Previous experience in a leadership role within a nursery or childcare setting

- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices

- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written

- Ability to effectively manage staff and create a positive work environment

- Experience working with children of various ages and developmental stages

- Valid driver's license,

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred), Nursery: 1 year (required)

  • Nursery experience: 1 year (preferred)

  • Childcare: 1 year (required)
