Full Job Description

  • Perform credit ratings and analysis when required on existing and new counterparties.

  • Evaluate Credit Risk of prospective deals and propose mitigants when necessary.

  • Monitoring and Management of dedicated portfolio of counterparties.

  • Prepare and present recommendations for the Head of Credit or the Risk Committee(s).

  • Propose enhancement of existing reports and design new reports for use by the credit team or as reporting to senior management. Contribute to making improvements to the existing processes, systems and models working closely with other teams in the Risk Management group



  • University degree in economics, business administration.

  • 5 years of professional experience in the energy sector with focus on credit risk management preferably in a trading company or a utility.

  • Understanding of corporate finance, industry trend, In-depth understanding of credit risk principles, methodologies, and best practice.

  • Knowledge of long term Power Purchase Agreements (PPA's) is preferred.

  • Knowledge and experience of negotiating standard agreements (e.g., EFET, ISDA, Master Netting Agreements) used in the industry.

  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills with ability to identify potential risks and propose mitigants when possible.

  • Good communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work autonomously. Fluency in English.and fluency in German is preferred but not essential

This position is based in London and is a hybrid remote role., The Trading business unit of the group ensures central access to the wholesale markets for electricity, gas, LNG and other energy-related products and is responsible for operating in energy markets within the EnBW Group. The trading business unit grew significantly through regional expansion into key European markets, but also with the extension of the products range and horizons traded. The company acts in fast-changing global and European Energy landscapes.


  • The Credit Risk department monitors and manages the credit risk arising from all trading activities; pipeline flow, seaborne activities, and more structured deals such as PPAs within the Trading business unit. With a relatively flat structure, you will be reporting directly to the Head of Credit Risk and provide your expertise and knowledge on a wide array of commodities and topics to many internal stakeholders
