Full Job Description

  • You shape and design our UK physical delivery business from the beginning.

  • You are a proven expert on the UK BSC, especially on MVRNs, BM Units, Supplier Settlements and can help us to select a software provider that integrates well with Elexon to switch and steer supply and generation and explain our physical positions and costs before, during and after delivery.

  • After some project work, you are interested to work as a senior team member or team leader in a team that supports our Front Office by submitting, receiving, and analysing relevant physical delivery time series for generation and supply (excluding the ECVN processes). You are demonstrating a confident appearance in communication with grid operators.

  • You are supporting the back office in the preparation of upcoming credit and/or invoice amounts based on incurred imbalance energy quantities and published prices, as well as checking and releasing supplier and balancing group statements.

  • You are developing processes and tools further (e.g. automation of processes, coordination of cross-company topics from the BSC; Further developments of Power BI analyses)

    Completed commercial, technical, or scientific studies, ideally with a focus on the energy industry.

  • Very structured, proactive, and team-oriented way of working paired with a sense of responsibility and stamina.

  • Customer orientation, adherence to deadlines, diligence.

  • High IT affinity, as well as good analytical and conceptual skills in dealing with the steering of developers or selection and steering of external software providers; In-depth understanding of contract regulations and knowledge of time series in the British power market is required (with regards to power plants, end customers).

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, but also knowledge of the Microsoft Power Suite (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Queries) is desirable. VBA or Python are beneficial.

  • Ability to integrate into an international environment. Language skills: English business fluent. Other European languages such as German, French, Spanish, Italian or Swedish would be a plus.

This position is based in London and is a hybrid remote role., We manage electricity marketing contracts with owners of renewable plants as well as contracts with grid and system operators as well as capacity auction offices. Among other things, we verify the production of our (customers) power plants as well as the demand from our end customers and provide essential input for contract controlling and billing support. We perform various roles for the EnBW Group, including the role of a balancing group manager.
