Full Job Description

As a Client Service Associate in the Asset Servicing team, you will act as interface directly between the client and the wider corporate actions and income functional teams, providing query/issue resolution and enabling the smooth processing of all events. Voluntary event management will be a particular focus, ensuring clients are notified of short fuse/non-standard details to mitigate our risk and enhance their service.,

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, providing timely and accurate responses to queries

  • Ensures 100% of Corporate Action election responses are received and onward processed

  • Performs daily identification of event management opportunities / high risk events

  • Carries out proactive co-ordination with the team and client to minimize risk

  • Assists with resolution of cash and stock breaks and exceptions

  • Liaises with agent banks and custodians to improve processes and client experience

  • Understands the control environment, maintain and monitor KPIs, completion of daily checks etc

  • Escalates quickly to managers when issues arise

  • Assists with team and departmental projects and task automation

  • Works closely with Technology, Product and Operations partners to deliver change projects

    Full lifecycle Corporate Actions processing knowledge, ideally gained within an Investment Manager, Global Custodian or Prime Brokerage environment

  • Client Service experience, with the ability to face off to very demanding stakeholders, managing their expectations

  • Experience of Operational areas (Trade Support, Cash and Reconciliations) within a large financial institution

  • Good balance between analytical skills and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills to identify, understand and address operational and technical issues

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to develop relationships across the various stakeholders including senior business executives

  • Motivated and able to deliver with minimal supervision, whilst working effectively in a team

  • Candidate must have a control focused agenda, and understand all potential impacts internally and to the client

  • Ability to be flexible, follow and meet tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work and meet the clients expectations

  • Self-starter with ability to learn quickly


  • Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Strong knowledge of asset servicing (corporate actions and income)

  • Financial markets product knowledge and understanding of the transaction lifecycle

  • Knowledge of project methodologies useful

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point
