As a Children and Young People's Support Worker at Aspens you should have a keen interest in working with young people with autism
and other complex needs. Previous experience having worked with vulnerable young people would be beneficial, however this is not
essential as we believe that great children's support workers can come from all backgrounds!

You should have a L2 NVQ in Health and Social Care or Child Care with a desire to work towards further qualifications including L3
qualifications and other training including safe guarding and paediatric first aid.

It is important that you are able to demonstrate the ability to work alone as well as part of a team as the role will involve the
provision of both 1:1 support and support in group sessions.

This role will also involve a traveling in the local area, so it is essential that you hold a full, clean driving licence and have
access to your own transport., Disability Confident

Hours of Work: up to 6 hours (per week), Mondays - Fridays + Weekends (as per rota)

Salary: £9.39 (per hour)

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ever-expanding staff team within Aspens.

We run groups for children and young people in Crawley , Hayward's Heath, Felpham, Littlehampton and Worthing. Our groups are fun,
friendly, safe places where all our young people can spend time together and enjoy each other's company.

The Children's Support Worker provides flexible support to children and young people and their families within both group
environments (building based and community based) and 1-1 outreach support.

They work with young people and children aged 5-25 years with Autism Spectrum Conditions and associated disabilities to help
develop individual skills and confidence in all aspects of daily life, including building positive relationships, activities,
leisure and social skills.
