Full Job Description

The Chief Licensed Aircraft Engineer, reporting to the Hangar Manager, oversees maintenance projects from pre-input to post-delivery. Responsibilities include ensuring aircraft release complies with technical and regulatory standards, collaborating with SLAEs and LAEs for check progress, maintaining communication with stakeholders, participating in daily activities with Base Maintenance management (e.g., Resource Planning Manager, Engineering Services Manager, Hangar Manager) to ensure Part145 compliance, planning input checks and allocating tasks, managing Senior LAEs, and supporting staff welfare. They should demonstrate enthusiasm, positivity, and adaptability to meet company demands.,

  • Certify and oversee aircraft release from base maintenance

  • Coordinate maintenance staff

  • Manage daily work plan adherence

  • Monitor and support staff performance

  • Collaborate with management to address issues

  • Provide updates and escalate issues

  • Develop and implement recovery plans

  • Ensure tool control and project organization

  • Promote health and safety in the workplace

  • EASA category 'C' licence (preferably hold current EASA B1 and/or B2)
