Full Job Description
- Overarching responsibility for all aspects of the group's financial operations, FP&A/commercial finance, financial control /reporting and risk management
- Manage key relationships with banks and funding partners; coordinating the groups working capital requirements ensuring sufficient funds are available across all territories as required
- Proactive leadership within the C-Suite to drive strategy across all aspects of the business ensuring optimisation of working practices,
- Lead discussions on financial performances, risks, opportunities etc at board meetings
- Own & deliver the groups annual business plan, budgets, forecasts and associated reforecasts
- Lead/oversee, direct and develop a global team of direct and indirect reports
- Play a key role in overseeing the implementation of a global ERP system; helping to transition from current local finance systems and support the core team in terms of workflow, process improvement and data transfer
- Oversee the tax affairs and treasury for the group, drive strategy and compliance across all territories
- Review contracts for licensors, suppliers, customers, insurers and other key commercial relationships; having commercial input into contract negotiations
- Assess entry into new markets through rigorous analysis
- Insightful analysis of trends to assist in improving gross margin, profitability, cost reductions
To be a successful candidate it is essential that you are professionally qualified and have previous C-Suite experience gained within an international consumer products environment. As you will be joining the board, you will needt be able to demonstrate proven, relevant experience and have an excellent level of diplomacy. You will need to be both technically strong and commercially astute, ensuring that the company performs efficiently and profitably whilst enabling sustainable growth in an ever-changing, dynamic market., Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with significant PQE; with a strong academic background - FMCG experience in a multi-currency, multi-territory environment, ideally with experience of working with third partner manufacturing & logistic partners
- Experience also gained within Retail or publishing is highly desirable
- Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, at FD or CFO level
- Proven experience of project management and implementation of an ERP system.Experience of SAP Business By Design an advantage.
- Solid people management skills, with a background of managing both local and remote teams
- Highly commercial with strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends and provide strategic insights to inform decision makers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with, influence and challenge stakeholders of all levels
- Previous change management and process improvement experience
- M&A exposure an advantage
